Quarter 2: Reflections on Remote Learning
Hello!
Today is the second day of the second quarter. Most teachers are still teaching remotely, most students are still learning remotely. Most people still have no clue whether normalcy will return, and we still have no expectations of that ever returning.
There are positives and negatives. Yes, it took me two days to see all of my students again, however, I think we were more at ease thankfully.
Positives:
The extended schedule allows for more leeway as we can start later in the day. We are also able to be more efficient with our time.
We can try new activities ands strategies to connect with remote teaching.
We are on the edge of a paradigm shift that we have a chance to change for a more positive impact!
Negatives:
I miss actually interacting with my students.
I miss being able to leave home without worry and anxiety of getting sick.
I miss the drive to school and jamming to songs to ready my mood for work.
